The Chair of the selection panel, in consultation with panel members, will identify the probationary objectives required of the new staff member. The probationary period is three months. The probationary objectives identify the behaviours or outcomes required of the new staff member, and these requirements must be met for permanent appointment to be approved.
Probationary objectives for general staff may be drawn from the behavioural criteria for Performance Development which have been identified for job families across Divisions in the University.
