External Staff Providers

Policy

The University recognises the need for the use of external staff providers.  To this end Human Resources have identified three preferred suppliers.  They are:

Prior to approaching these providers the normal staffing approval processes must be followed. Details about the providers and the services they offer to Murdoch University can be obtained by visiting their local website.

Staff engaged via an external staff provider are considered Murdoch employees for the purpose of internally advertised positions and therefore can apply for any position(s) advertised within the University.

It is important to note for Managers who wish to offer direct (Murdoch) employment to a person who is currently under contract with one of the external staff providers, that there may be a fee involved in breaking their temporary placement contract.  This fee is charged to the office offering the contract.  Details of this possible liability can be obtained by contacting the external provider. Contact the Office of Human Resources for assistance with negotiating a placement.
